Information We Collect
Screenr is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require you to create an account to use the app. Photos you select from your library, your design choices, and other on-device settings are processed locally on your device to generate Lock Screen wallpapers. If you choose to grant access, Screenr may read calendar events and reminders solely to render them into wallpapers you request. Photos, calendar data, and reminder data stay on your device unless you explicitly share the resulting wallpaper.
Waiting List
If you choose to join the waiting list on our website, we collect your email address so we can notify you when Screenr becomes available on the App Store. We do not use this email for any other purpose, and we do not share it with third parties. You can request deletion of your email from the waiting list at any time by contacting us.
Photos
Screenr only accesses photos you explicitly select through the iOS photo picker. Selected photos are used on-device to compose wallpapers and are not uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties. You can revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings.
AI Content Studio
If you use the optional AI Content Studio feature, the text prompt and any parameters you provide are sent to OpenAI to generate content for your wallpaper. Requests are transmitted over HTTPS and are subject to OpenAI's privacy and data usage policies. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI prompts. We do not send your photos, calendar events, or reminders to OpenAI unless you explicitly include that content in a prompt.
How Information Is Used
Any information accessed by Screenr is used only to provide the wallpaper generation features you request. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.
Purchases
Screenr offers optional purchases and subscriptions processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchase verification and entitlement management may be handled by RevenueCat, which receives only the transaction data necessary to confirm your purchase status and restore entitlements across your devices. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described in their privacy policy.
Analytics
Screenr may use analytics tools to collect anonymous information about app usage and crashes. This data helps us improve the app and does not identify you personally. You can limit analytics collection through your device settings where available.
Calendar and Reminder Permissions
Screenr may request access to your calendar or reminders only to generate relevant Lock Screen wallpapers. Access is optional and is never used to collect, transmit, or store event details beyond what is needed to render the wallpaper on your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app, such as RevenueCat for purchase handling, and only to the extent required for those services.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Because most processing happens locally on your device, the risk of unauthorized access to your data is limited.
Children's Privacy
Screenr is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review the policy periodically.
